In The early days

76 Bulbs Event Lighting, founded in 2011 was born from what  started as volunteering  as a lighting tech  with the sound guy for a stage at a local non profit in 2006.

Many clients liked our work So After purchasing  a few traditional par cans  and some audio equipment we started taking our services to shows around the valley. 

A  Vision and Passion was born for what lighting could be.  Eventually the audio portion was downsized & emphasis was placed on the lighting. 

So began the Journey of  designing and building the ideal  lighting Fixture which would  ultimately become  "Play"

The  Idea is born

The original Pole Mount concept  came out of lessons learned from the early days of mostly "performance Based" event lighting. 

The first lesson learned was traditional stage lighting equipment was bulky, Power hungry,  and had   time intensive set up.   It was also lacking in the area of the Dramatic rock star quality effects we were looking for. 

The Second Lesson learned was that Lighting the Stage was only part of what  Most Events needed.  

Options for perimeter lighting,  food tables and more would be needed to make the  lighting complete.  

The Pole Mount Solution

With the help of a machine shop, some research, and alot of hard work and trial and error the first "Play" Fixture was born. (it was named "Play"from day one)

Its primary purpose was for rear stage lighting  food tables and dance floor. 

The First version had two options- either three LED's, or Three  traditional par cans.  It  was six feet tall and difficult to set up.   We still had to bring in other fixtures to capture the front stage and perimeter lighting. 

With Each passing event,  the "Play" fixture kept getting better and better.  Eventually it was perfect so then it became time to start on the CHAKRA fixture.....
